After the veneer preparation six coats of multiple finishing was applied with sanding between coats. No peel and stick or paper backed veneer. Original fake wood vinyl was stripped and Eastern walnut. Original dust cover was sanded, buffed and polished and it looks excellent. As you see on the pictures, tonearm was meticulously cleaned. Cueing rod was cleaned and new damping fluid applied. After you turn it off platter keeps going and going. Big motor works perfectly and dead silent.
